Asoebi Africa
Frontend & Mobile Engineer
Led web and mobile client development for an event coordination and commerce platform connecting planners, fabric vendors, and attendees. On the web side, I built the customer dashboard and storefront in Next.js using a custom lightweight CSS system. On mobile, I built the cross-platform Flutter app using Bloc for state management, cutting asset load times by 40% through responsive sizing and aggressive image caching.
Role Overview
Asoebi Africa synchronizes group fabric orders and custom tailoring for large events. I directed frontend engineering across web portals and the mobile companion app.
Architecture & Implementation
The web interface runs Next.js and React with a custom lightweight CSS architecture, keeping bundle sizes small. For the mobile client, we chose Flutter and structured business logic around the Bloc pattern to maintain clean boundaries between UI views, checkout state, and network calls.
Frontend & Mobile Integration
Created an interactive multi-SKU fabric selector, animated cart reconciliation, and mobile payment flows built to recover gracefully if network connections drop mid-transaction.
Key Outcomes
- ▪Asset loading times dropped by 40% after implementing disk-cached image pipelines and responsive WebP variants.
- ▪State management in Flutter uses Bloc to isolate shopping cart operations, variant selection, and live order tracking.
- ▪Set up automated GitHub Actions workflows for mobile test suites and release builds.
